Since it is exactly one month away, the countdown until my thirty-second birthday has officially begun. Even though it does mean that I am getting a year older, that doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy this special day each year. I have always felt that you should enjoy your birthday because it is the time each year when the people closest to you make sure you feel special for the day. For the past five or six years, I have made it a tradition to celebrate my birthday with the people I love by renting out a nice room for us all to get together and have some fun. Since I do like taking the opportunity to celebrate my birthday, I decided to plan something extra for myself this year.

I haven’t done this before, but this year I will also be going on a birthday trip to Houston. Even though I have never been to Houston before, I have had lots of good things about it, so I’m looking forward to my trip. I do not like traveling alone (it’s just not as much fun), so my friend and I are going to have a blast during our trip together. I honestly thought this trip was going to be kind of expensive, but I was pleased to find some really great deals. Out of all the reservations, the one that saved the most money was the Houston car rental. With a little help from some free online tools, I was able to research all of the available car rentals, compare their rates and reserve the best deal being offered on a Houston car rental. All of the reservations are now made for the trip, so all I have to do is wait a little while longer until it is time for me to get on the plane and head to Houston!

Even though the last three hundred and sixty-five days didn’t treat me well , I told myself 2009 wasn’t going to go the same way. While most people set resolutions at the start of a New Year, this isn’t something I had really done before. That being said, I was committed to changing this year, so I came up with something I was going to follow. Since I had gotten stuck in a bit of a rut, I decided the perfect thing for me to do was to go more places during this year. Once I made up my mind, I started browsing the Internet for travel deals.

For anyone who doubted the commitment I had to my plane, I have already taken a trip to Houston this year. As a result of planning ahead, my Houston rental car, hotel and flight had all been booked since the start of the year. Because it was so easy to get my Houston rental car and I didn’t encounter any problems, I had an extremely relaxing trip. Thanks to the great way I felt throughout my trip, I knew that the resolution I had made at the very beginning of the year was truly a beneficial one.

Although it is true that my trip to Houston is now over and I am back home, don’t think that means that my traveling is done for 2009. I haven’t decided where I am going to go on my next trip, but I do know I will be taking at least two more trips this year, and wherever they end up taking me should be a very enjoyable adventure.

My Spring Break kicks off in just a few days. However, my plans for Spring Break are a little different this year than normal. Because I am graduating from college in May, my priorities are a little different this time around.

Although I don’t currently live in Houston, it was the city where I was born and raised, and when I finish up school in May, I intend on moving back there. Therefore, my two priorities are finding a job and housing in Houston. While I have some promising leads, I am not stopping my search until I secure a job, so I am kicking off my Spring Break with a Houston job fair (which is setup specifically for the industry I want to enter).

After the job fair, I am planning on spending the remainder of my break looking at potential housing options. I haven’t decided whether I want to move into an apartment or house, but I have a feeling that after I get to look at a variety of options during the break, I will be able to narrow my ultimate choice down to one or the other.

I’m not sure how much free time I will have, but whatever amount I do have will be spent catching up with my family and friends (who are all very excited about me moving back to Houston in two months).

For as long as I can remember, I have always been a fan of going to sporting events. Although I don’t spend a lot of time on the couch watching sports on television (mainly because I am too busy and I don’t have time to waste on a daily basis), I always enjoy going to a sporting event and watching it live. Regardless of what kind of sport I go to watch, I always seem to truly enjoy myself.

Of all the sporting events that I have attended, one of my favorite was a Houston Astros game. I attended this game when I was on a trip in Houston, and from the moment the game started, I had a whole lot of fun. I think the reason that this was such an enjoyable experience was because the crowd was so lively and excited, which made the entire stadium feel like it was filled with energy.

It has been a little over a year since I went to that Houston Astros game, but since I did have such a great time there, I am going to try my best to take a trip to Houston in the next couple of months and attend at least one Astros game while I am there (if not more).

Although I don’t have any plans to get married anytime soon, I would be lying if I said that I didn’t have a great time attending my cousin’s wedding, which was held near Houston. Ever since we were younger, all of our family has always teased her about being a high maintenance girl. Even though this is just a running joke among our family, her wedding showed that there is definitely some truth to this statement. While my cousin is a wonderful girl with a great heart, she definitely likes to be treated a certain way.

To begin with, her wedding took place on Valentine’s. It was held at our grandparent’s estate near Houston, and when I use the term estate, I am not exaggerating. The entire estate was redone with space for the wedding and the reception, and everything was quite impressive. Since I’m a guy, the main focus of my time down there in Houston was the reception, and it did not disappoint. From the food to the drinks to the entertainment, I don’t know a single person at the wedding who did not have an absolute blast during the reception!

I don’t know what my life would be like without the Internet. When I try to think about what it used to be like before the Internet was in existence, I have a hard time remembering how I accomplished certain things. One thing is for sure though; thanks to the Internet (and technology in general), I am able to be a much more productive person and get things done in a shorter amount of time.

To give you an example of exactly what I’m talking about, we can take a look at the recent trip I planned. In fact, the planning of this entire trip began as a result of technology. I received an email from a list that I’m subscribed to that features cheap flights that are currently available. As I skimmed through the list, I noticed that there was a cheap flight to Houston. When I looked at this deal a little more, I realized that not only could I get the flight to Houston for cheap, but I could also get a really great deal on a hotel and rental car. Since it only took a few clicks to reserve these deals, I had my trip reserved in no time.

I didn’t really have a specific reason to go to Houston. However, I did have a good reason to get out of town for a couple of days. I had been working pretty much nonstop for a really long period of time, and I realized that if I kept going at the pace I was trying to maintain, I was going to completely burn myself out and end up spiraling out of control. This was definitely not a scenario that I wanted to deal with, so I decided that it would be a lot easier to take a short trip to somewhere that would allow me to chill and relax.

The main reason that I chose Houston as the location for my getaway was because I came across a really good special on a weekend getaway trip there. Because this special offer was so cheap, I felt like I didn’t really have anything to lose by visiting Houston.

I’m glad that I can say that my trip to Houston accomplished what it was supposed to do. I was able to relax for all three days of my trip, and I even had quite a bit of fun by going out and soaking in the nightlife of Houston.

The holiday season has been kind of strange for the last couple of years. This may seem like a weird thing to say, but give me a chance to explain myself and I think that you will see what I mean.

The reason that I said that the holiday season has been strange for the last couple of years is because I am now in college. Since I live somewhat far away from home, I normally don’t spend much time at home anymore. However, the one time when I do spend time at home is during the holidays. And, since we have a full month off of school, I have spent almost the entire break at home the last two years.

While I really love my family, spending this amount of time at home after not being there for so long just gets too overwhelming. So, to avoid putting myself in a stressful situation this year, I have decided that after Christmas is over, I am going to fly to Houston so that I can party and enjoy the New Year with several of my closest friends from school.

The title of this post might have seemed short to you, but that’s because I wanted to make an easy to understand point. When you take a trip to Houston, you should get a rental car. Yes, it’s really that simple (hence the shortness of my title). It doesn’t matter if you are there for a business trip or a vacation; there are places you are going to need to go. For example, you are more than likely going to eat at a restaurant at least twice a day (for lunch and dinner, and potentially three times a day if your hotel doesn’t offer a breakfast, or at least doesn’t offer a breakfast that you enjoy eating). Since I don’t think that you are going to want to walk from your hotel to the same two or three restaurants for all of the meals that you eat, you will need a rental car so that you can drive to the restaurants you want to eat at. On this topic, there are a lot of great restaurants in Houston (which span across just about every type of food), so you will really enjoy all of the food that you eat in Houston.

Last month, I took a four day (two weekdays and two weekend days) to Houston. I really wasn’t planning on taking a trip to Houston, but I did know that I needed to get away for a few days to clear my head and just have some time to myself. When I got online to see if I could find any discounted trips, I came across a great deal for a trip to Houston. I decided to book it, and a week later I was in my hotel room in Houston.

The nice thing about my trip to Houston was that I had absolutely no schedule to follow. Instead of worrying about getting from one place to another, I simply woke up in the mornings and started my day. I would treat myself to a nice breakfast, and then head out to explore the city. I found plenty of fun things to do, and the best part of each day was when the evening rolled around. Houston has a very vibrant nightlife, and I took full advantage of the fact that I didn’t need to get up for work in the morning to enjoy the nightlife to the fullest.
