For some reason or another, a lot of people automatically assume that renting a car has to cost a lot of money. I always find this funny, because from all of my personal traveling experience, I have found that renting a vehicle from a car hire company is almost always the most cost effective way to get around during a trip. On top of that, not only is it a cost effective solution, but it will also save you time during your trip. Instead of waiting around for a bus, subway or taxi, you will always have a car that is ready to go as soon as you are.

My most recent experience with renting a vehicle was for a trip to Houston. This may surprise you, but I was able to make all of my car hire arrangements for Houston in about thirty minutes. I simply visited Priceline and typed in where I was going and what kind of vehicle I needed. Priceline presented me with some results, and I reserved the one with the lowest price. When I arrived in Houston, I picked up my vehicle from the car hire company, used it for the duration of my five day trip, and dropped it off before I got on the plane to leave.
