The holiday season has been kind of strange for the last couple of years. This may seem like a weird thing to say, but give me a chance to explain myself and I think that you will see what I mean.
The reason that I said that the holiday season has been strange for the last couple of years is because I am now in college. Since I live somewhat far away from home, I normally don’t spend much time at home anymore. However, the one time when I do spend time at home is during the holidays. And, since we have a full month off of school, I have spent almost the entire break at home the last two years.
While I really love my family, spending this amount of time at home after not being there for so long just gets too overwhelming. So, to avoid putting myself in a stressful situation this year, I have decided that after Christmas is over, I am going to fly to Houston so that I can party and enjoy the New Year with several of my closest friends from school.
