Although Houston is a very humid place to be, it is still a great city to visit. It may take you a little bit of time to adjust to the humidity, but once you get used to it, you will be able to fully enjoy your time in Houston.

As you are planning for your trip to Houston, one important decision that you have to make it where you are going to stay while you are in Houston. Although there are lot of options, that doesn’t mean that they are all equal. In addition to wanting to avoid low quality hotels, you probably also don’t want to spend an arm and a leg to stay in a room.

Since I have quite a bit of experience staying in hotels in Houston, I thought I would share some of my top picks with you:

Super IAH West/Greenspoint: If I told you this hotel had won an award for Top Value, your first question would probably be why? Well, after I told you that even though it’s a nice hotel, it only costs $76 a night, you would probably have no problem understanding why it won that award.

Element Houston Vintage Park: At $140 a night, this is another hotel where you can be confident that your money is going to go a long way. The other nice thing about this hotel is that they are environmentally friendly (such as a water saving option in the hotel room sinks).

Crowne Plaza Suites Houston Sugar Land: With rooms running at a rate of $111 a night, if you decide to stay here, you will be very impressed by the friendly and attentive staff that work in this hotel.
